It is very similar to Configurations or Settings editor in Linux. The custom color theme feature works with the default Edge themes, which include the light, dark, and system default options. To enable dark mode (used in prefers-color-scheme in CSS, JavaScript, Settings and Dev-Tools) and enable the dark theme (normally used for incognito mode) append the following flag to persistent configuration: /. This is a collection of individual settings that alter how Firefox behaves on your computer. To make this fix in Firefox, you will have to make a preference change on your about:config page. If you do not have that theme, pick one with a lighter color scheme than your own. This is a much lighter theme than the one I am currently using, Equilux. Disabling and re-enabling did nothing nor did a fresh re-install of Firefox. Websites would display a white background with dark text rather than a black background with white text.
Firefox dark theme not working windows 10#
It turns out that there is a way to fix it! Simply trick Firefox into rendering a different GTK3 Theme. After Firefox updated to the latest 92.0 version, it could not detect Windows 10 themes or the users high contrast mode. After some searching around the internetz, I found the aforementioned post on Mozilla’s Bugzilla.
